Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bebop and Rocksteady Long Sleeve T-Shirt

This Bebop and Rocksteady design comes from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, four pizza-obsessed reptiles who started as a black-and-white comic parody and became the most merchandised cartoon of the 1980s. The 1987 animated series is what made them enormous. It gave each turtle a coloured mask so children could tell them apart, softened the tone completely, and turned a niche comic into a merchandising empire.

Eastman and Laird published the first issue themselves with a tax refund and a small loan, printing about three thousand copies. Those copies now sell for extraordinary sums.
