Survivor Cook Islands T-Shirt

This Cook Islands design comes from Survivor, the show that dropped strangers on a beach in 2000 and more or less invented the modern reality competition. It effectively created the template every competition reality show has used since, and it is still running, which makes it one of the longest-running prime-time programmes of any kind on American television. Survivor premiered on CBS in May 2000, adapted from the Swedish format Expedition Robinson, and its first season finale drew more than fifty million viewers in the United States. Very little on television has managed that since.

The jury is made up of the players already voted out, which means the winner is chosen by the people they beat — a design decision that drives nearly all of the strategy.
