Description
This Welcome to Hell design comes from Supernatural, fifteen seasons of two brothers, one 1967 Impala, and every monster American folklore could supply. Castiel, an angel played by Misha Collins, arrives in season four and changes the scale of the thing entirely: what had been a horror show about back roads becomes a story about heaven, hell and a family that keeps refusing to accept an ending. The early seasons work through American folklore one episode at a time — wendigos, hook men, vengeful spirits, a killer truck. Salt, iron and a devil trap painted on the floor are the tools, and the rules stay consistent enough that the audience can see a solution coming.
The Impala is a 1967 Chevrolet, and Eric Kripke has said the car was as important to the pitch as either brother. Several were used in filming and one is kept largely intact for close work. The anti-possession symbol the brothers have tattooed on their chests was designed for the show and is now one of the most common real tattoos taken from a television series. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL. Grab it for yourself or for the friend who has strong opinions about which brother was right.
