Steven Universe Lion Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Lion design comes from Steven Universe, the Cartoon Network series about a boy raised by three alien warriors in a beach town, which turned out to be a show about family, grief and negotiation. Steven Universe premiered on Cartoon Network in November 2013, created by Rebecca Sugar, who had been a storyboard artist on Adventure Time. It was the first series on the network created solely by a woman, and it reads nothing like what came before it.

Garnet is a fusion of two Gems, Ruby and Sapphire. The show treats fusion as a relationship rather than a power-up, which is why a character can simply be a fusion and stay that way.
