Description
This Juan Ortiz Arena Black design comes from Star Trek: The Original Series, the 1966 show NBC cancelled after three seasons and syndication turned into a religion. Gene Roddenberry sold it to the network as a western in space, which is how a show about diplomacy, ethics and a pacifist science officer got made in the middle of the 1960s at all. Leonard Nimoy adapted the Vulcan salute from a Jewish priestly blessing he had seen as a child in synagogue. He improvised it on set because the script simply said the Vulcans greet each other.
The Gorn suit was so stiff the stuntman could barely move, which is why the Arena fight is so slow. NASA named its first space shuttle Enterprise after a write-in campaign by fans. This one is printed on a black unisex v-neck t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL. A good pick for anyone who can name the episode from one frame.
