This Sisko Graduation design comes from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the series that parked itself on a Cardassian-built station and let the war come to it. Worf transfers over from the Enterprise in season four, the only character to be a regular on two Star Trek series. It broke the format on purpose: the first Star Trek set on a fixed space station rather than a ship, so the stories had to come to the crew instead of the crew warping away from them.
