This The Corbomite Maneuver Black design comes from Star Trek: The Original Series, the 1966 show NBC cancelled after three seasons and syndication turned into a religion. Leonard Nimoy adapted the Vulcan salute from a Jewish priestly blessing he had seen as a child in synagogue. He improvised it on set because the script simply said the Vulcans greet each other. The budget was tight enough that the transporter exists because the production could not afford to land a starship every week. A shimmering effect made from aluminium powder was cheaper than a landing sequence.

Tribbles were built in a weekend from fake fur and simple motors, and the episode is the most beloved of the run. Leonard Nimoy based the Vulcan salute on a Jewish priestly blessing he saw as a child. This one is printed on a black unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 4XL. Grab it for yourself or for the friend who still argues about the Kobayashi Maru.
