This The Kramer design comes from Seinfeld, the NBC series that spent nine seasons proving a sitcom about nothing could be about almost everything. Kramer is named for Kenny Kramer, who really did live across the hall from Larry David and who later ran bus tours of Seinfeld locations in New York. The Soup Nazi was based on Al Yeganeh, a genuinely exacting soup vendor on West 55th Street who did not enjoy the attention.
