This Prognosis Negative design comes from Seinfeld, the NBC series that spent nine seasons proving a sitcom about nothing could be about almost everything. Festivus came from the family of writer Dan O Keefe, whose father actually celebrated it. Kramer is named for Kenny Kramer, who really did live across the hall from Larry David and who later ran bus tours of Seinfeld locations in New York.
