RoboCop Robo Armor T-Shirt

This Robo Armor design comes from RoboCop, the 1987 film about a murdered Detroit cop rebuilt as corporate property, sold as an action movie and delivered as satire. Verhoeven is Dutch and read the script as an American Jesus story: a man killed, resurrected, and walking on water in the final act. He has said the religious framing was deliberate. Peter Weller trained for months with a mime artist to build the movement, and the suit was so heavy and hot that filming in it was genuinely punishing.
