Riverdale Archie Andrews Tank Top

This Archie Andrews design comes from Riverdale, the series that took the sunniest characters in American comics and moved them into a neon-lit town where something is always wrong. Pop Chock lit Shoppe is the fixed point of the show. Almost every important conversation happens in that booth, and the diner became the single most recognisable location in the series. Visually it is built on saturated neon and deep shadow, which is unusual for a teen drama and is the reason the character posters work so well as prints: they look like film stills rather than publicity photos.

Cole Sprouse plays Jughead and narrates the series in a hardboiled register borrowed from noir, which is a strange fit for a character created as comic relief in 1941.
