Rick and Morty Pickle Rick V-Neck T-Shirt

This Pickle Rick design comes from Rick and Morty, the Adult Swim series that grew out of a crude Back to the Future parody and became one of the most quoted cartoons on television. The premise started as a short called The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti, a deliberately crass Back to the Future parody Roiland made for Channel 101, the short film festival Harmon ran. Adult Swim asked for a series, and the parody grew a nervous system.

The interdimensional cable episodes were built largely from improvisation in the recording booth rather than scripted dialogue, which is why they sound nothing like the rest of the show.
