Ren and Stimpy Ren Est. 91 Tank Top

This Ren Est. 91 design comes from The Ren and Stimpy Show, the 1991 Nicktoon that spent three seasons finding out exactly how much a childrens network would tolerate. The friction with the network was constant and it ended badly. Kricfalusi was removed from his own show in 1992 and production moved to an in-house studio, which is why fans argue endlessly about where the series stops being the real thing.

Powdered Toast Man was voiced by Gary Owens, who had also been the voice of the original 1966 Space Ghost. Two very different cartoon superheroes, same booming announcer delivery.
