This Apollo Soyuz design comes from NASA, the agency that has been putting Americans into orbit, onto the Moon and out past the edge of the solar system since 1958. The worm logo was designed by Richard Danne and Bruce Blackburn in 1975, retired in 1992, and then brought back in 2020 for the first crewed launch from American soil in nearly a decade. Very few pieces of 1970s federal graphic design get a comeback tour.
The Apollo 11 mission patch is the only one from the programme without its crew members' names on it. The crew wanted it to represent everyone who worked on the landing, not just the three of them. This one is printed on a white womens t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL. Officially licensed and printed on heavyweight cotton, built for more than one launch window.
