Description
This Identity Crisis Parts design comes from Mr. Potato Head, the mix-and-match spud who has been swapping his own face around since 1952. George Lerner invented it, Hasbro published it, and Mrs. Potato Head followed in 1953. The whole family expanded from there, all built on the same joke: a face you can rearrange into something worse.
The plastic body appeared in 1964, partly because of new safety rules about sharp pieces and partly because parents were tired of finding forgotten potatoes behind the sofa. This one is printed on a white unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL. A safe pick for retro toy fans and for anyone who lost the ears under the couch.
