Description
This Pay Me design comes from Monopoly, the property-trading game that has been ending family evenings early since Parker Brothers put it out in 1935. Monopoly has been in print since 1935 and has never really left the kitchen table. The board, the tokens, the deeds and the top-hatted mascot are so embedded in everyday life that people quote the rules at each other without ever having read them.
Monopoly was not invented by Charles Darrow. It descends from The Landlord's Game, patented in 1904 by Elizabeth Magie, who designed it to demonstrate how land monopolies impoverish everyone — the exact opposite of how it gets played today. This one is printed on a black unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 6XL. Sizes run deep, with plus sizes and Tall fits on the core tee.
