Lord of the Rings Tree of Gondor Navy Tank Top

This Tree of Gondor Navy design comes from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the 2003 finale that won every single Academy Award it was nominated for. Ian McKellen plays Gandalf the White, Viggo Mortensen becomes Aragorn properly, and the White Tree of Gondor — seven stars above a bare white tree on black — becomes one of the most recognisable heraldic devices in film. The Return of the King was released in 2003 and closed a trilogy Peter Jackson had shot all at once years earlier. It went eleven for eleven at the Academy Awards, winning every category it was nominated in, including Best Picture and Best Director. Only Ben-Hur and Titanic have matched the eleven, and neither of them swept.
