This I'll Take the Case design comes from Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, the Adult Swim series that took a forgotten Hanna-Barbera superhero and made him a defense attorney. A spin-off, Birdgirl, followed on Adult Swim in 2021, moving Judy Ken Sebben out of the background and into the lead. A Harvey Birdman video game adaptation had already appeared in 2008. Episodes run about eleven minutes, and the animation deliberately apes the flat, limited, cost-saving style of the sixties cartoons it is built from. That flat heavy line work is exactly what makes these designs read cleanly printed large on a shirt.

Mentok the Mindtaker, a judge with telepathic powers, introduces himself with his own theme music, which he is producing himself, out loud, in the courtroom. The cases are almost all Hanna-Barbera characters in legal trouble, which turns the show into an accidental tour of the studio back catalogue.
