Dubble Bubble Cotton Candy Youth/Toddler T-Shirt

This Cotton Candy design comes from Dubble Bubble, the gum that got its pink colour because it was the only food dye the factory had on hand. The wrapper carried a small comic, the Fleer Funnies, starring a character called Pud, and for decades that comic was the only thing many children read with their sweets. The pink is an accident. Pink was the only food colouring in the factory when he mixed the first successful batch, and the colour stuck to bubble gum as a category ever after.

Bubble gum is pink because pink was the only dye in the factory. Dubble Bubble was invented in 1928 by an accountant, Walter Diemer. This one is printed on a pink youth t-shirt in sizes Youth S through Toddler 3T.
