Dubble Bubble Paints Your Mouth V-Neck T-Shirt

This Paints Your Mouth design comes from Dubble Bubble, the gum that got its pink colour because it was the only food dye the factory had on hand. The pink is an accident. Pink was the only food colouring in the factory when he mixed the first successful batch, and the colour stuck to bubble gum as a category ever after. Dubble Bubble was invented in 1928 by Walter Diemer, an accountant at the Fleer Chewing Gum Company who was experimenting with gum recipes on his own time.

Bubble gum is pink because pink was the only dye in the factory. The wrapper comic, the Fleer Funnies, starred a character called Pud. This one is printed on a charcoal unisex v-neck t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL.
