Dubble Bubble Vintage Ad T-Shirt

This Vintage Ad design comes from Dubble Bubble, the gum that got its pink colour because it was the only food dye the factory had on hand. Diemer taught salesmen to blow bubbles so they could demonstrate the product, because nobody had seen gum behave that way before. He never took a patent and said he was satisfied with having done it. The pink is an accident. Pink was the only food colouring in the factory when he mixed the first successful batch, and the colour stuck to bubble gum as a category ever after.

The wrapper comic, the Fleer Funnies, starred a character called Pud. Dubble Bubble was invented in 1928 by an accountant, Walter Diemer. This one is printed on a yellow unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL.
