Christmas Santa's Favourite T-Shirt

This Santa's Favourite design is for Christmas, the holiday that absorbed every custom it ever met and kept going. Much of the modern Santa was assembled by writers and illustrators rather than tradition — the 1823 poem A Visit from St Nicholas gave him the sleigh, the reindeer and the chimney. The Christmas tree came out of German custom and reached the English-speaking world in the nineteenth century, helped enormously by a published illustration of Victoria and Albert standing round one.

Puritan authorities banned Christmas observance in the 1600s. Rudolph was invented in 1939 for a Montgomery Ward giveaway booklet. This one is printed on a red unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 5XL.
