Beary Christmas Crewneck Sweatshirt

This Beary Christmas design is for Christmas, the holiday that absorbed every custom it ever met and kept going. December 25 is not a birth date anyone recorded. It was fixed centuries later, and the early church argued about the date for a long time before settling. Much of the modern Santa was assembled by writers and illustrators rather than tradition — the 1823 poem A Visit from St Nicholas gave him the sleigh, the reindeer and the chimney.

Rudolph was invented in 1939 for a Montgomery Ward giveaway booklet. A Visit from St Nicholas gave Santa his sleigh and reindeer in 1823. This one is printed on a red unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 3XL.
