Chevy Retro Stingray Youth/Toddler T-Shirt

This Retro Stingray design comes from Chevrolet, the marque that put the bowtie on more American driveways than any other. Nobody agrees where the bowtie came from. Durant said he tore it from wallpaper in a Paris hotel; his daughter said he sketched it at dinner; another account traces it to a newspaper advertisement for a coal company. Heartbeat of America ran as the advertising line through the 1980s and is now itself the nostalgia being sold.

The small-block V8 arrived in 1955 and ran for decades. The 1953 Corvette used a fibreglass body because steel tooling could not be justified. This one is printed on a red youth t-shirt in sizes Youth S through Infant 24M.
