This '56 Bel Air Emblem design comes from Chevrolet, the marque that put the bowtie on more American driveways than any other. The Camaro was the answer to the Mustang, and when asked what a Camaro was, a Chevrolet product manager reportedly said it was a small vicious animal that eats Mustangs. Nobody agrees where the bowtie came from. Durant said he tore it from wallpaper in a Paris hotel; his daughter said he sketched it at dinner; another account traces it to a newspaper advertisement for a coal company.

Chevrolet was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. The 1953 Corvette used a fibreglass body because steel tooling could not be justified. This one is printed on a black unisex v-neck t-shirt in sizes S through 2XL.
