Chevy '59 Impala T-Shirt

This '59 Impala design comes from Chevrolet, the marque that put the bowtie on more American driveways than any other. The small-block V8 arrived in 1955 and stayed in production for decades, becoming the most-produced engine of its kind and the reason so much of American hot-rodding is built around Chevrolet parts. Nobody agrees where the bowtie came from. Durant said he tore it from wallpaper in a Paris hotel; his daughter said he sketched it at dinner; another account traces it to a newspaper advertisement for a coal company.

Chevrolet was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. The 1953 Corvette used a fibreglass body because steel tooling could not be justified. This one is printed on a cream unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 3XL.
