Betty Boop Bathing Beauty Pullover Hoodie

This Bathing Beauty design comes from Betty Boop, the Jazz Age cartoon star who has outlived nearly every character she shared a screen with. Mae Questel voiced the character for most of the run, and the theatrical series ended in 1939 after more than a hundred shorts. The Hays Code caught up with the series in 1934 and the studio was made to lengthen her hemline and tone the shorts down; fans have argued ever since that it took the life out of them.

She was originally drawn as a dog, and her ears became her hoop earrings. Betty Boop debuted in 1930 in the short Dizzy Dishes. This one is printed on a light blue unisex sweatshirt in sizes S through 2XL.
