Betty Boop Future Heart Breaker Creeper

This Future Heart Breaker design comes from Betty Boop, the Jazz Age cartoon star who has outlived nearly every character she shared a screen with. Mae Questel voiced the character for most of the run, and the theatrical series ended in 1939 after more than a hundred shorts. Max Fleischer patented the rotoscope in 1915, and the studio used it to put live performance into animation decades before anyone called it motion capture.

Cab Calloway was rotoscoped into several of the cartoons. Betty Boop debuted in 1930 in the short Dizzy Dishes. This one is printed on a white youth t-shirt in sizes Infant 6M through Infant 24M.
