Trouble

Trouble is the Milton Bradley board game released in 1965, and the thing everyone remembers is the Pop-O-Matic: a clear plastic dome with the die sealed inside that you press to roll. It meant the die could never be lost under the sofa, and it gave the game its unmistakable popping sound.

The race-your-pegs-home structure descends from the Indian game Pachisi by way of Ludo and Parcheesi. Landing on an opponent's peg sends it all the way back to start — which is where the name comes from.
