The Year Without a Santa Claus

Rankin/Bass made The Year Without a Santa Claus in stop-motion, and ABC first aired it on December 10, 1974. Mickey Rooney voices a Santa who decides to take the year off, and Shirley Booth voices Mrs. Claus in her last role. Most people remember it for two brothers who each get a song: the Heat Miser and the Snow Miser.
