The Electric Company

The Electric Company ran on PBS from October 25, 1971 to 1977. The Children's Television Workshop made it to teach reading to kids who had outgrown Sesame Street. Rita Moreno opened the show by shouting Hey, you guys!, and Morgan Freeman played Easy Reader.
