Supergirl TV Show

Supergirl premiered on CBS in 2015 and moved to The CW after its first season, running six seasons in total. Melissa Benoist plays Kara Zor-El, sent from Krypton to protect the infant Kal-El but knocked into the Phantom Zone along the way — which is why her younger cousin grew up first. By day she works at CatCo Worldwide Media for Cat Grant, the media mogul who gives her the name Supergirl. Helen Slater, the 1984 movie Supergirl, and Dean Cain of Lois & Clark both appear as her adoptive parents.
