Candyland

Candy Land was designed by Eleanor Abbott, a San Diego schoolteacher, while she was recovering from polio, and Milton Bradley first published it in 1949. Because it needs no reading, only colour matching, it became one of the most common first board games for young children, a race along the rainbow path past the Gumdrop Mountains, the Peppermint Forest and the Molasses Swamp to the Candy Castle. This collection brings back that vintage box art and the characters met along the way, including Mr. Mint.
