Barrel of Monkeys

Barrel of Monkeys was introduced by Lakeside Toys in 1965: twelve plastic monkeys with hooked arms, packed in a little barrel.

The toy borrowed its name from an old expression. More fun than a barrel of monkeys was already a familiar phrase long before the barrel was red plastic.
