The DeLorean DMC-12 is a sports car that was produced by the DeLorean Motor Company for the American market from 19811983. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and featured a stainless steel body and distinctive gull-wing doors. The car gained fame from its use as a time machine in the popular 1985 movie "Back to the Future."
