Voltron was produced by World Events Productions, with Peter Keefe as producer and Ted Koplar as executive producer. It first aired in syndication from September 10, 1984 to November 18, 1985.
Is it true Voltron was originally a Japanese cartoon?
Yes. It was adapted from two completely unrelated Japanese anime series made by Toei Company. The famous Lion Force came from Beast King GoLion, and the Vehicle Team came from Armored Fleet Dairugger XV.
