Tommy Boy Fat Guy in a Little Coat T-Shirt

This Fat Guy in a Little Coat design comes from Tommy Boy, the 1995 comedy in which a barely employable man has to save his late father's brake pad company from a corporate buyer. Farley died three years later at thirty-three, and the film has carried a different weight ever since — it is the one people point to when they want to show what he could do. Farley and Spade improvised heavily, and several of the most quoted moments were not scripted. The fat guy in a little coat scene came out of something Farley had been doing off camera to make Spade laugh.

Brian Dennehy, Bo Derek and Rob Lowe all play their roles completely straight, which is what lets the comedy land.
