This Tune Squad Lola design comes from Space Jam, where the Looney Tunes recruit a basketball legend to save themselves from indentured servitude at a failing alien theme park. Space Jam arrived in 1996 and made no sense on paper. Michael Jordan, fresh from un-retiring, teams up with Bugs Bunny to play a basketball game against aliens who have stolen the talent of five NBA players. It made a great deal of money and lodged permanently in a generation of memories.

Warner Bros. built Jordan a full practice facility on the studio lot so he could train between takes. It became a legendary pick-up game venue for visiting NBA players during the shoot.
