Description
This Distressed OCP Logo design comes from RoboCop, the 1987 film about a murdered Detroit cop rebuilt as corporate property, sold as an action movie and delivered as satire. Omni Consumer Products owns the Detroit police department outright, which is the joke the entire film is built on. The satire is delivered through fake commercials and news segments cut into the story, advertising things like the 6000 SUX and a board game called Nukem. Peter Weller trained for months with a mime artist to build the movement, and the suit was so heavy and hot that filming in it was genuinely punishing.
The boardroom scene was cut several times to get an R rating instead of an X. The Prime Directives are serve the public trust, protect the innocent and uphold the law, and the hidden fourth one protects OCP executives. This one is printed on a black unisex t-shirt in sizes S through 6XL. Grab it for yourself or for the friend who says I would buy that for a dollar unprompted.
