Richard Garfield invented the trading card game with Magic the Gathering in 1993, and every collectible card game since has been working from its blueprint. Thirty years on it is still printing new worlds, from gothic Innistrad to the cyberpunk Japan of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty to the art-deco crime families of New Capenna.
