Description
I have not done a t-shirt description in a couple weeks (shows, life, etc) but need to keep cranking them out to keep the mojo flowing. This one should be pretty good. To be honest, I would rather see a girl wearing one of these than a guy. A guy just looks like some tool when he wears a Superman t-shirt in classic colors, but for some reason I don't get the same feeling when I see a girl wearing one. I guess it feels less pretentious.
I found this interesting forum post where some guy asks a very good question: why does Superman wear underwear over his pants? Same with Batman. I can tell you that when I was in high school I was on the wrestling team (I know, an argument could be made that I was a jock, but in my defense I was the team nerd. I never dated any girls, spent a lot of my time playing Gamma World and Car Wars, and had huge coke bottle glasses. I think I joined the wrestling team just because I like the violence) and we would sometimes wear shorts over our sweat pants in an effort to keep our pants from being pulled down. Maybe Superman has a fear of showing super crack.
Also, his costume was made from the blankets his mother swaddled him in on the rocket, so maybe when Martha Kent helped make the costume she was running low on material. Of course, that does nothing to explain Batman, as Bruce Wayne has tons of money.
Speaking of underwear, there is a company out there that does boxer shorts with comic book heroes on them. I am considering them. My favorite boxers is a knock off from Burger King that says Home of the Whopper on them. I also have a great pair with Hello Kitty on them. Thank god for the Japanese.
Anyway, I will say that the shirts my vendor uses for these superhero girls shirts end up looking really good. They are tunic style cap sleeves and look hot. Just an aside.
I always wondered how Superman could have an intimate relationship with a woman without ripping her in half. Here is an interesting article by Larry Niven about why Superman cannot have sex with a human. Makes a lot more sense. While I liked the last movie, the half human half Kryptonian kid kind of bugged me. Larry also points out how impossible it is for a woman to carry a half Kryptonian to term. Well thought out, IMO.
