Medium
Medium was based on a real psychic who helped police named Allison Dubois. While some people doubt her actual abilities there can be no doubt her story makes for a fun TV show. CBS must have thought so as the show ran 7 full seasons.
This show was unique in that they knew ahead of time that they were going to be cancelled and were able to draw the show to a conclusion. Would that Fox had had the same dignity with Firefly.
The show garnered a raft of awards and nominations. Patricia Arquette even won a Saturn Award from the greatest film organization ever: the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films (suck for ignoring us for 89 years Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. You should be punished for even using the word science. That belongs to we nerds!)
