The Dead Kennedys
Formed in 1978, the Dead Kennedys originally hail from San Francisco, California. The energetic punk rock band is known for pushing boundaries with their thought-provoking lyrics. Their original lineup included East Bay Ray on guitar, Klaus Flouride on bass, Ted on drums and percussion and Jello Biafra as the lead singer. Known for their controversial style, some music stores even refused to sell their albums, which prompted a big debate about music censorship.
