The Word Alive
Phoenix-based metalcore band The Word Alive is a favorite among people who wear black and enjoy loud guitars and yelling. Formed in 2008, the band has released four albums to date. The most recent release, Dark Matter, is called by lead singer Telle Smith, “our most dynamic and expansive album to date.” The Word Alive recently toured with Fit For A King and Out Came The Wolves; in March 2016, the band’s tour manager allegedly got in a fight with the band Rainey’s Revenge because The Word Alive was accused of going over their time limit. Pretty hardcore stuff.
