Hellraiser
Inspired by a book called The Hellbound Heart, the Hellraiser film sparked the creation of additional movies, comics and more. The original Hellraiser film was first released on September 18, 1987, but the series has spawned into an ongoing franchise. The original film was written and directed by Clive Barker. Although Barker didn't continue with the project, a sequel was released the following year, entitled Hellbound: Hellraiser II. In 2000, director Scott Derrickson took the helm for Hellraiser: Inferno, and then director Rick Bota created three more films within the franchise. In 2002, Bota released Hellraiser: Hellseeker, then Hellraiser: Deader and Hellraiser: Hellworld.
