Created by Kevin VanHook and Yvel Guichet, Bloodshot joined the Valiant Universe in 1992. Known as a more modern version of Frankenstein, Bloodshot is a deadly killer. Previously known as Angelo Mortalli, he's turned into more of a machine than man. After his memories were erased, the government conducted a series of experiments on Angelo, and quickly turned him into a total killing machine. The scientists added nanites to his blood, a collection of microscopic tech that’s also known as nanocomputers. The nanotechnology in his bloodstream gives him the power to heal quickly and achieve his maximum physical potential. In the series, Bloodshot fights to discover his true identity, and to extract revenge on the people who made him this way. The comic book series gained instant popularity, and ranked in the top five for Diamond Comic Distributors by the end of the year in 1992. With another volume of Bloodshot released in July 2012, we're bound to see more additions to the series in due time.
