Enter the world of Eos in Final Fantasy XV

Fans of the titular Final Fantasy series can finally rejoice, the latest Final Fantasy XV game is officially released today. Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the original Final Fantasy series was originally released in 1987 for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Now known as Square Enix, the company has been releasing beloved installments to the Final Fantasy series for over 25 years. Fans were given a chance to sample Final Fantasy XV with a free Platinum Demo before the game’s release, where users could play as a younger version of Noctis. Short and to the point, the Platinum Demo definitely swept players away to the new world, and certainly whet the appetite for Final Fantasy die-hards. Since the game’s official release, the latest reviews have been nothing short of spectacular. The expansive world of Eos treats players with numerous quests to choose from, while the captivating graphics and cutting-edge special effects prove that it was well worth the wait.

In Final Fantasy XV, the story follows Noctis Lucis Caelum, a sullen prince who’s caught up in the monotonous drudgery of everyday life. While en route to wed his fiancée Lady Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, his homeland becomes under attack and his father, King Regis, is killed in the invasion. In a quest to reclaim his rightful homeland, Noctis is joined by a motley crew of pals. Teaming up with his closest friends, Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia and Prompto Argentum, the group ends up on a whimsical adventure. Inspired by J-rock bands and looking the part, the guys certainly have style—and their perfect, gravity-defying hair looks impressive, even when camping and roughing it out in the wilderness. At the heart of it all, the game focuses on Noctis and his bromance with his best friends, where you’re able to partake in an epic road trip of astronomical proportions.

In anticipation for the official game release, there is even an animated film and anime series to help get your feet wet. The film is entitled “Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV” and follows the point of view of King Regis and his son, Prince Noctis. Seamlessly weaving state-of-the-art special effects and an engaging story, the film sheds more light on the Final Fantasy XV universe. To get a closer look at Noctis and his three amigos, check out "Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV", a five-part animated series which launched in anticipation to the game's release. If you still can't get enough, there's also a Pinball app called Justice Monsters Five, available for Android, iOS and Windows 10. Or, you can even capture the RPG action with King's Knight - Wrath of the Dark Dragon, another mobile game that recently launched.

Packed with action, the new game boasts hours of potential entertainment and gameplay. If you’ve been craving to see more of the elements from the classic games, you won’t be disappointed. There’s plenty of larger-than-life creatures and mythical looking beasts, along with fearsome foes and a slew of challenges to be faced in the world of Eos. Sure, the crew usually scoots around in a luxe automobile, but it’s nothing short of majestic when the whole squad rides Chocobos. Revel in the waves of childhood nostalgia with the latest installment to the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy XV is available now on disc and via digital download for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
