Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is an American science fiction comedy film starring the two slacker friends Ted Logan and Bill Preston. The story revolves around the two dim-witted high school students Bill and Ted who are struggling to finish their history paper. But with the help of a time machine, they were able to pass their History Class with flying colors through the help of a man from the future named Rufus. This duo is part of the Wyld Stallyns band that began as their personal project. They would spend their free time with the band making music, creating their own promotional videos, and hoping that one day they would interest Eddie Van Halen to join their band.
But did you know that the casting team had a hard time casting Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter? It is because according to the script, the role of Bill and Ted must have a look of 14-year-old skinny guys, with low-rider bell bottoms while wearing heavy metal t-shirts. But obviously, Alex and Keanu look like cool guys that were hard to believe to play the two slacker friends Bill and Ted.
