Beverly Hills, 90210 T-Shirts

Fans of rich teenagers dealing with drama and social problems don't have much farther to go than the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210.  Apparently the show had some teenage drama too (hah!).  This was probably the first show where they just blatantly hired mid-20 year olds to play high school kids and it set the mold going forward.  

The real life Beverly Hills High School wanted nothing to do with the show and it was mostly filmed at Torrance High School about 20 miles away.  If you think the school looked familiar that's because it was also the school they used to film Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Looks like creativity in scene selection is not a quality in high demand in Hollywood.  

Of course the real drama of the show happened behind the scene.  Everyone was either sleeping with or hating everyone else.  Ironically tho the show went 10 full years it only once received on Emmy nomination (for a guest spot with Milton Berle).  Of course they fired Hillary Swank who later won two Oscars but it looks like most of Hollywood accurately had 90210s number.
