I have to say I'm excited about this movie (as I am about any upcoming zombie movie). Zombies, stuck up 19th century English socialites, and the extremely lovely Natalie Portman
. Although, as much as I loved her in V for Vendetta, her English accent kind of sucked, so I hope she has been working on developing her Brittish accent
I used to work with a girl who looked kind of like a half Asian Natalie Portman. Naturally I was totally in love with her and equally naturally she had no interest. She handed me another let's-be-friends speech. It has gotten to the point that I have heard so many LBF speeches that I can now rate them. I gave hers a 5 on originality, a 9 on sincerity, but only a 3 on delivery. She needs more practice in my opinion.
I heard through the grapevine that she is soon to be married, which is like a red hot poker you-know-where. I sometimes feel like Charlie Brown
with my assorted objects of unrequited love
. I always pulled for him to meet his little red haired girl, but given that his only female company was his weird sister and the sadistic ballbreaker Lucy van Pelt (who was also his psychotherapist) I am sure he never learned to relate to women and ended up either a serial killer or owner of a t shirt selling website.
Now that I think about it, no one in that comic strip had their affections acknowledged. Lucy loved Schroeder, and Sally loved Linus. I guess Charles Schultz didn't believe in romance but rather in horrible frustration. As a kid I read his comics incessantly (I could get Peanuts books at the thrift store for $.15 each) and today have trouble with girls. I wonder if there is a connection...
Anyway, I suppose I should talk about this shirt some more. I have kind of milked the zombie cow
dry by now, if you know what I mean, and am struggling to find content. I did find this interesting list of the 10 Worst Zombie Movies of All Time
done by a girl, no less, and since this is a girl's shirt I think it apropos that I link it. My personal list differs quite a bit but I haven't seen everything on hers so I guess there is always room for worse out there.
I could only dream of meeting a female zombiphile, of course.
